20-20-2 rule
Children's screen time has never been higher. Children stare at a screen for hours every day, not only at school but also outside of school.
The 20-20-2 rule can easily be applied in these situations. It means, after 20 minutes of screen time (for example on a mobile phone, laptop or tablet), looking into the distance for 20 seconds and spending 2 hours outside in a day.
Spending enough time outside is important, especially for children. Your eyes constantly switch between different distances outside and they are exposed to daylight. Time to go play outside!
