Exclusive Elegance

Just like the timepieces and jewelry, Cartier glasses frames exude pure luxury. In addition to frames in plastic or metal, Cartier offers glasses in yellow or white 24-carat gold or set with diamonds.

Craftsmanship and Materials

The details in each frame always refer to the jewelry collection. They are made with the highest quality materials, such as waltz doublé (a combination of stainless steel and gold), but also silver, white gold, platinum and solid gold. They are characterized by a very high wearing comfort. Cartier glasses frames are logically in a higher price range, but you also wear glasses of the highest quality. Cartier is discreet luxury before your eyes.

History of Cartier

Cartier was founded in 1847 by the French goldsmith Louis-François Cartier. However, its worldwide fame is due to his grandson Louis Cartier, who manufactured the first truly working wristwatch in 1904: the Santos model. In that year, aviation pioneer Alberto Santos-Dumont asked his friend to make him a clock with which he could tell the time while flying. This is how the idea of making a wristwatch was born: a revolution for that time.

In 1914, Cartier first used the panther, the symbol for which the company is known: He created a watch that imitated the dots of the coat. In the 1930s, watch designer Jeanne Toussaint joined the company and made the symbol bigger by depicting it on more and more objects: powder boxes, jewelry boxes, etc. The panther symbolized the woman as an object of desire.

Today, Cartier is known worldwide as one of the most prized and respected luxury goods. The brand produces jewelry, watches, perfumes, accessories and glasses, all renowned for their craftsmanship, elegance and quality and worn by countless movie stars and even royals.
