How does a hearing test work?
Before the hearing test, our hearing care professionals will ask you a number of questions. For example, they would like to know more about your personal wishes, medical history and any current hearing aid. This way the hearing care professional gets a clear picture of your situation and experiences.
After the ear canal and eardrum have been checked, you can put on headphones and the hearing test will start. You will hear sounds that vary in pitch and volume. This asks you to press a button as soon as you hear a sound. The sounds are played alternately to the left and right ears.Â
After the hearing test, the hearing care professional will discuss the results with you. Is there hearing loss? The cause will then be discussed and you will receive professional advice about a suitable hearing solution.Â
Thanks to technological innovations, hearing aids are more advanced than ever. Hearing aids are also so small these days that they are often invisible when worn.Â
